Old

I can't believe how things have changed.  I know we all get older, but I don't feel older!  Well, worn maybe. But old? I'll never get old! Until you turn 30 (or almost 30) and you realize things are changing, and you are aging. :(  When did we all become adults!?

My hubby turned the big 3-0 this year!! I did a star wars theme for him. And also for Dozer :).  But I think both enjoyed it equally. I had it all planned out for a few MONTHS before his birthday. AND . . . I kept it a SECRET!! Which is a HUGE deal for me! I never have any surprises for him at Christmas because I always tell him before. I can't stand it! I just get so excited!! I had ordered several things off the internet for him. I ordered these fun action figures. which turned out to be tiny!!! SO awesome for ME! For some reason I am obsessed with small things. Cute. I decorated the cake with them. I got him a mountable light saber, 2 star wars lego sets.  One was the millennium falcon. He has been aching for that for years!! I also had star wars cups, plates, and napkins. I even made the napkin rolls of silverware look like light sabers :).  I stink at taking pictures though. :( now that I am blogging it, I realize it doesn't look as grand as it was. And that was not as grand as what I had in my head. Anyway. I had planned to have everything done and decorated as a surprise party for him the day BEFORE his birthday. As a "last day to be a kid celebration now that you are old" type thing :). But he had to work late, and that didn't work out.

 

 We all had costumes even!  Cutest Yoda ever!

 But, as events go, there are always mishaps. The Darth Vader was supposed to be Dozer's costume.  WAY TOO SMALL.

She didn't like the hat and wouldn't hold still long enough for me to get a good pic.
