Told ya :)

**I know this is really long, but there are some funny ones of Dozer and his messes half way through you will probably laugh at if you want to see them**

No need to tell me that it has been several months since I posted last :). I already know. And I did give fair warning when I started this blog that I would probably be bad at it. Things have been a little hectic around here. I had a big adjusting period getting used to being mommy to two. And honestly I've had a few priorities that came before blogging. Like my hubby, eating, friends, cleaning, groceries. And shopping.

And pinterest.

There! It's off my chest! Haha! I have become somewhat addicted. I now have MORE reasons to feel like an inadequate mother and house keeper :(. So many crafts/chores/jobs and really SO LITTLE free time. Not that I care though!! It's just easy to get overloaded with things you want to do. I don't like to craft when my kids are up and I'm home alone. But sometimes I just can't help the impulse. And then I get the guilt cycle and blah blah blah. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. I've sure gotten some good kid activity ideas though! Along with good recipes, good decorating ideas, good ideas of what I'd really love to look like if I had the desire to look fashionable, etc. :) But like I said before, I do have my priorities. And my kids and my husband are number one. I really try not to get down on myself for being a bad mom or wife. It's hard, and, really, there is nothing I have to live up to except to what I think I do. So all you women out there, here's a shout out to us for even trying!! Any effort shouldn't go unnoticed. So we should give ourselves some credit once in a while for what we do get done, and relax about what we don't get done. Who cares anyway?

I sure get a lot to talk about when I haven't blogged in a while :). I have been a little restricted the last couple of days because my poor baby is sick :(. I'm sitting next to her swing right now so I can put the binky back in her mouth after she coughs every 5-10 min. And it is a yucky sounding cough. Poor Princess. She needs sleep so badly and just can't get it very easy because of this rotten cough and congestion. She will make it through though! She has a totally devoted mommy right next to her all day long to help. :) But I thought I'd blog while I was sitting there for an hour or two at a time.

So, I guess I'll start from where I left off. I last posted in November (YIKES!!). I'll be honest, Princess has been a tough baby. (Please don't confuse this with complaining! I am NOT complaining one single bit. I just am trying to explain my situation.) Dozer was SO easy, and I just thought that all my babies would be that way. For the first month she cried or fussed almost all day. I tried everything. You should see the pages and pages of notes I kept to see if anything worked. Nothing. And it started getting worse. She was just crying more and more. I didn't know if I should just let her cry, or if there was a problem, or what! I called the doctor, and he gave me some drops for intestinal cramping. Which helped so much! She was still pretty cranky though. But they helped for maybe a month. Then they stopped working. :( And she was back to fussing again almost all day long. And nothing soothed her. I felt like a terrible mom because the ONLY way to get her to sleep was to bounce her in her bouncy chair about as hard as it could possibly go. My brother's wedding was in December, and MAN was that a tough trip. I COULD not have done it without my cousin who is really a sister :). We traveled together, and it was honestly the biggest blessing I could have asked for that week. Anyway, Princess was still hard at 4 mo old. At her check up I asked her doctor about it again, and he gave me another prescription for zantac. I was honestly not even going to fill it. I just thought that is how she was, and I was just going to have to wait for her to grow out of it. She hated nursing, she hated being put down, she hated being held wrong, she hated the crib, she HATED the carseat, she hated going to sleep, she pretty much hated everything but the tub. I did not even feel like trying the new prescription because I had tried SO many things before thinking they would be the miracle cure. Then they didn't help at all. BUT it did help! My baby is a whole NEW baby. She fusses sometimes, but most of the day she is happy and playful! I can even get in the car without her crying at all sometimes! And that is HUGE deal. She seriously would SCREAM from the second I put her in her seat until the second I took her out. Grocery trips were hard. Traveling alone was out of the question. I wish I had tried it a long time ago because she was in so much pain for so long :(. I feel so bad! So clear up until the middle of January, I had little time to do anything more than keeping the house under control because the rest of the day was spent bouncing Princess in her chair or in my arms. So that is a good reason to why I haven't blogged in months. :)

Princess' Blessing

So to catch up. We did Princess' blessing the beginning of December. I was so happy that I almost cried that she didn't cry during her blessing! My hubby did such a great job. :) And it was a pretty crowded place because there were FIVE other babies that got blessed that day!

Dozer was a little jealous and wanted to be in on the pics :).
I know! I look blah!
And my favorite family pic :)
Can I say that I am just an emotional mess lately? I sure got emotional when I was pregnant with Dozer, and it just keeps getting worse with each one!! When I got Princess dressed up in her blessing dress, I just started sobbing! I just thought she looked so beautiful and precious. I was such a proud mama! But just look at her. Who wouldn't be? ;)
Princess and my sister's baby that is 3 weeks older. Cute!

What a pile of boys!! Dozer and his cousin T and little T. Can't tell they're brothers can you?
This is my cousin who is almost a year older than Dozer. haha, he didn't want in on the pile of boys.

Look at that girl! She sure knows how to work you over already!

Christmas

Then there was Christmas :). We had my family at our house again this year (minus one sister :( ). With my hubby's job we just can't travel on Christmas. He either has to work the day after Christmas and/or Christmas Eve EVERY year. :( bummer. But it was SO fun this year! Dozer has finally gotten what Christmas is about and was excited about it! He LOVED tearing through the presents and playing with all his toys! I only got a couple of pics because I had to hold princess a lot of the time. My mom has most of them, and I haven't gotten them yet :( But here are some.

His new letter blanket :). which, of course, he loves.
This dinosaur roars, and he was roaring back at it :).
Princess munching on Fritos. haha!
He can already read, so why not get a head start on addition, subtraction, and multiplication too?
He didn't even want to look IN the bag because the BAG was so much fun! (letters)
Princess and her owl :)
Lightning McQueen sleeping bag. Big hit.

Angry bird!!
The very hungry caterpillar :)

Dozer's Messes

So what has Dozer been up to? 1 big fat word. MESSES!!!!! Wow, this kid can really makes cause mayhem! He has been WAY into markers lately. Luckily Crayola makes a washable kind, and that is what I have. Unintentionally, but SO lucky. I will NEVER buy anything else, and you will see why. I HIGHLY reccomend washable markers.

Exhibit A: Face markering. AKA "Camo face." although this one looks more like "zombie face"
Guilty!
Exhibit B: Couches. I know what you're thinking. Where were you!??! Well, I had turned on some cartoons so I could take 30 min for myself and workout on my elliptical downstairs. This is what I came up to.

Exhibit C: Wall coloring. Like I said. Washable markers are WONDERFUL.
Exhibit D: Don't forget actually coloring in books!!

This is a preschool coloring book. He LOVES these and can complete them accurately all by himself! This page has pictures that your are supposed to write the missing letter of the name to the picture. Notice on the line that is supposed to be 'jam' he wrote a skinny 'r' between 'a' and 'm' and pit afterwards. HAHA!!

Next series of messes: Trying on EVERYTHING. This is my night bra. Haha!!

This is yarn. I wish you could really see how MUCH he pulled out! He had well over half of THREE skanes of yarn on him!!

And of course any other mess he can make in the house :). Paper shredder.
And eating messes. He is eating a cookie right off the counter.

Birthday boy!!!!

Someone turned the big 3!!! He is ALL about Lightning McQueen lately, so we had that as his birthday theme :).

Also, this boy can READ. He got tons of books for Christmas, and he started reading them right away. Books he's never seen before! Some words he doesn't know and will skip them. And some words he doesn't know but tries to sound them out! Sometimes it takes us a while before we know what he is saying because he is just pronouncing a word he was trying to read wrong haha! We just love this boy more than anything! Happy birthday my bug!

Princess' Progress

This baby is a MOVER!! Since she was newborn she was standing and supporting her whole weight on her own legs! These next few were taken right after Christmas. I just love the little curled up look babies have :).

Surprise!

I love this one :) hello!
This is the outfit she wore for my brother's wedding :) (before christmas) She wasn't too good for that. :(
Some loves from brother :) He loves to pay attention to her, but doesn't quite know how to be soft yet :(
All curled up :) And I can get those toes!! She has been able to grab them since the BEGINNING of December!

I just LOVE this cute outfit from my little cousin and aunt :) I think she is adorable!
These next few are taken after we started the new medicine. Notice how many more smiles!!
We started solids!!

Look at me! I can sit up all by myself!! At FOUR months old. Slow down a little baby girl!

Dozer crawled into the crib while I was trying to put Princess to sleep. :) So cute.

No words :)Just cute.
I can already get on my hands and knees too!!
And I'm a pilates master as well.
Not a good pic from my phone :(
I made this little dress for her!
Now that she is 5 mo old, she is really starting to crawl. She used to do this thing where she would just walk with her feet, but not move her hands. So her butt would be way up in the air. :) then she would face plant :(. It looks like this.
Now she doesn't face plant anymore. She can actually move hand over hand a couple of times. And she is awesome at getting from laying position to sitting position, too.

What a cutie :). Now what has my hubby been up to? Finishing our basement!! We are getting so close to being ready for dry wall! Yay!! He has been working so hard down there. I just love him :). He also works on the internet, keeps our finances in line, watches kids while I'm at work, and spends time with us when he's not working. Busy guy!

What have I been up to? Well, once we got Princess started on the zantac, my days have opened up again. (Not that I minded before!) So I cleaned my house. I mean CLEANED. And don't cringe when I say it hasn't been deep cleaned since before Princess was born :(. Huge BOO. So I have scrubbed every surface in my house on my hands and knees. Except of course the walls. Which I wasn't on my knees for. :) haha. I seriously spent some major time cleaning everywhere!! And if feels so good! I rearranged some decor, and got a lot of new ideas. From pinterest. Dang you pinterest for making me uncontent with my house when I was before! But here is one that I did :).
Puff quilt!! Mind you I will NEVER do it again. It was SOOO time consuming. You have to make each little puff, stuff it, close it, THEN sew it all together. It took a long time, I accomplished the task, I LOVE it, and I won't do it again :). This pic is when it wasn't quite finished. It has a blue satin binding on the edge.

I also started trying to make these CUTE little crocheted baby boots I saw on pinterest. I would have bought them, but they were $32!!! No thank you! And what do you know? I can remember my crocheting skills my dear grandma taught me! The boot I made is just a prototype, but I will (maybe) post pics of them when I perfect them.

Well, that is our life in one huge nutshell. I love being a mom. I love my two beautiful children. I couldn't be any happier :)
